TBC Enterprises assists Melbourne Business School MBA students
TBC Enterprises recently provided value added in-country services to Melbourne Business School's Industry Studies in Asia program.

In January 2007, about 60 students and lecturers from MBS's MBA program spent two weeks in China. The Industry Study in Asia course allows Australian businesses to take advantage of top quality consulting and market research prior to the business entering the Chinese market.

TBC Enterprises provided a business package for MBS participants to allow them to 'hit the ground running'.

The business package included information pack on the Chinese business environment as well as high level overviews of various Tier One and Tier Two cities; transportation cards that allowed participants to move around the city easily without having to search for spare change; mobile SIM cards so that can they be reached by their Chinese counterparts and contact each other easily without using expensive International Roaming charges; a set of bilingual business cards with participants names translated into Chinese as well as with their China contact details (for example: mobile number); and city maps.

The business packages were a great hit for both the MBA students and Chinese companies they met with.

"The Pack was very beneficial to us. It gave our school a very professional image. It showed we are serious, we understand the Chinese culture and we came prepared," said Associate Professor Pat Auger, ISA program founder. "The Chinese companies were very impressed we had our names translated into Chinese and local phone numbers all ready to go." Associate Professor Auger added.

100% of MBS's survey participants responded that they "would recommend this service to other organisations looking to visit China". "It made arriving in a foreign country such as China much less of a mystery", commented one participant.
